教育背景
2002年毕业于加拿大西安大略大学（University of Western Ontario, UWO）的毅伟商学院（Richard Ivey School of Business）取得工商管理学博士学位（PH.D.），主修战略管理与国际管理方向。周长辉博士曾于1996年毕业于西安大略大学经济学系，获得经济学硕士学位；1995年毕业于中国人民大学国际经济系，获得经济学硕士学位；1990年毕业于北京化工大学机械系，获得工学学士学位。

2010 年，发表的论文《Product Innovation in Emerging Market-based International Joint Ventures: An Organizational Ecology Perspective》被评委北京市第十一届哲学社会科学优秀成果二等奖；
2009 年，所主持的基金课题“中国企业对外直接投资的区位与进入模式选择研究”（70472023）的研究成果，被国家自然科学基金委评为特优；
2005 年，与Tony Frost 的合作论文Subsidiary's Inflow and Outflow of knowledge within MNCs 在美国国际商务学会（Academy of International Business，AIB）2005 年年会上被评为年度最佳论文(全会1 篇)，获得Best Paper Award。
2009 年，与刘明坤合作的论文MNC Evolution in China: Antecedents of R&D Center Establishment 在美国管理学学会（Academy of Management, AOM）2009年年会上被International Management Division 评为Skolkovo Best Paper of Emerging Markets Finalist（5 篇之一）。
2009 年，与曹英慧合作的论文Perceived Institutional Supportiveness and Innovation Capability Building: A Study in Emerging Market-Based Science Park Firms. 在第四届中国管理学年会被评选为年会优秀论文。
2008 年，与曹仰锋、吴春波的合作论文“企业发展过程中的领导力演变：案例研究”在中国人民大学举办的全国案例研究论文研讨会上被评为5 篇最佳论文之一。
2008 年，与希尔、琼斯合著《战略管理（中国版）》教材获得了由中国出版工作者协会、国际合作出版工作委员会、中国出版科学研究所、出版参考杂志社联合颁发的“2007 年度引进版社科类优秀图书奖”；
2005 年，论文“中国企业战略变革：五矿经验及一般启示”在北京大学举办的全国案例研究论文研讨会上被评为十佳论文之一。
1998 年，与Andrew Delios 合作的论文“Locational Determinants of Japanese FDI in China”在加拿大管理科学学会(Administrative Science Association of Canada)1998 年年会上被International Business Division 评为最佳论文，获得Best Paper Award.
2006，获得北京大学正大奖教金。
2004 年，北京大学优秀班主任三等奖。
