7.1.9 Capability for modification and backfitting 修正和改装能力
At present, lifetime of I&C systems and equipment is about 20 years. This means that it is necessary to replace I&C systems and equipment at least once during the plant lifetime. The design and implementation of I&C systems and equipment shall be done in such a way as to facilitate backfitting, replacements and modifications and make them economically feasible.
