2. 机器人车体
        整个 ANDROS F6A 系统如图2-1所示。整个系统包括机器人车体、控制站和附件。下面分别叙述这几个分系统的配置、功能和特性。
        机器人车体如图 2-2 所示。机器人车体包括主底盘、前后辅助轨道、机械手悬臂、悬臂摄像机、夹头、可移动/俯仰的监视摄像机、前驱动器摄像机和电池。测量到主轨道外边缘时，车体宽度为 17.5 英寸，安装了选购的气胎车轮时，宽度为 28 英寸。从地面到监视摄像机顶部的高度为 44 英寸，安装了选购的摄像机延伸器时，高度为 56 英寸。辅助轨道完全抬起时，车体长度为 38 英寸，辅助轨道处于水平位置时，车体长度为 62 英寸。装备齐全的车体重量约为 350 磅。

只有经过适当培训的人员才能操作ANDROS F6A系统。

        在演示、培训和实际操作期间，一定要在 ANDROS F6A 系统周围，始终保持适当的安全区域。人员一定不要在可能会因车体或机械手悬臂移动而受到伤害的地方。当车体上下楼梯或上坡下坡的时候，这一点尤其重要。记住，操作人员通过摄像机看到的车体周围的物体有限，可能会看不见旁边的人。

2. ROBOT VEHICLE.  The complete ANDROS F6A is shown on Figure 2-1.  It includes the robot vehicle, control station, and accessories.  The configuration, function, and characteristics of these subsystems are described in the following.
 
The robot vehicle is shown on Figure 2-2.  It consists of a main chassis, front and rear auxiliary tracks, manipulator arm, arm camera, gripper, surveillance camera with pan/tilt, front drive camera and batteries.  The vehicle is 17.5 inches wide as measured to the outside edges of the main tracks and 28 inches wide with the optional pneumatic wheel kit installed.  It is 44 inches high from the ground to the top of the surveillance camera and 56 inches high with the optional camera extender installed.  The vehicle length is 38 inches with the auxiliary track raised full up and 62 inches with the auxiliary tracks in the horizontal position.  The weight of the fully equipped vehicle is approximately 350 pounds

Only properly trained personnel should be allowed to operate the ANDROS F6A.

Always maintain an appropriate safety zone around the ANDROS F6A during demonstrations, training, and actual operations.  Never allow personnel to be located in a position where personnel could be injured by the moving vehicle or the manipulator arm.  This is especially important when the vehicle is ascending/descending stairs and slopes.  Remember that the operator only has a limited view of the vehicle's surroundings through the VIDEO camera and may not see a bystander.
